In a time not far from ours, there lived a mermaid who longed to see the world above the waves. She traded the shimmer of the sea for a pair of clanking, clever legs, guided by a patient octopus who danced with every step. The land felt strange beneath her fins, but her curiosity carried her forward. Still, the surface held its own mischief: a clever village cat delighted in nibbling her sparkling tail whenever she lingered, and each stumble was a small trial of patience. Yet the mermaid pressed on, wobbling and resolute, discovering that every awkward step ashore was part of a new, wondrous story.
